TSL is a large developer and builder of major construction sites. The project was a newly built industrial facility of 500,000+ sq ft. It needed to be fully cleaned before TSL could hand it over to its own client.
The Problem TSL Faced
Construction was complete, but the building was not ready to present. Construction dust, debris, residue and marks covered:
- Large open floor areas
- Windows and glass
- Ceilings and high, elevated surfaces
- Interior and exterior areas
At this size, a single final clean would not be enough. TSL needed a cleaning partner who could:
- Put a large crew on site every day for weeks at a time
- Run industrial equipment such as machine scrubbers and power washers
- Supply staff certified to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts for high-level work
- Keep pace with a construction schedule that moved in phases over several months
How MCA Group Solved It
MCA Group set up a structured, multi-phase cleaning operation that ran for about six months. The peak was a 60-day intensive period with 20+ team members on site every day.
1. Machine floor scrubbing
Industrial scrubbers with trained operators cleaned the facility’s large floor areas. They removed construction dust and residue evenly across half a million square feet, on schedule.
2. Interior and exterior power washing
Surfaces inside and outside the building were power washed, focusing on areas with heavy construction build-up. Each zone was cleaned as it became ready.
3. Window cleaning
Glass was cleaned of construction dust, film and marks, since it is one of the first things the end client sees at handover.
4. High dusting and specialty ceiling cleaning
Elevated surfaces and ceiling areas were cleaned with lift equipment. This work is beyond what standard janitorial crews can reach.
5. Certified crew operating TSL’s lifts
Team members held Working at Heights, scissor-lift and boom-lift certifications. That let them safely operate TSL’s own lift equipment, so TSL didn’t have to supply separate operators and elevated work wasn’t delayed.
